With today's technology, you can have a web site with features that flash, swoop, tap dance and blare music -- but that doesn't necessarily mean that all of it is a good idea. Careful thought and planning, more than bells and whistles, will give you a web site that gives your site viewers efficient access to the information they seek, ensuring that they stay longer and hear what you have to say. Hyla Skudder Design specializes in clean, efficient but visually rich web designs, for businesses and individuals.
This project began as a web site rescue. The client had let the site expire, and
so I only had old cached pages of the site, minus any photos or graphics, to do a scrape from. From the basic text scrape
I rebuilt the basic framework and then created a new custom graphic banner and section graphics for them in Photoshop, as well
as giving the site a new color scheme of red, tan and gold on black. The client provided new text and photos.
This is a site that I now maintain on a monthly basis. I incorporate all the news articles and photos from the Chapter newsletters
into the site, and update the photo gallery with new member photos.
The site was both designed and built by Hyla Skudder Designs working as a contract designer with Franklin Computer
Services. The site was built using FrontPage.
